I unpaired the Magic Remote of my LG OLED 55B7 tv by pressing 'Back+Recents' buttons on the remote, while it was off and not connected to a power outlet. The remote control blinked 3 times. Then I turned my tv on and the tv wasn't recognizing the remote, so by pressing the 'Ok' button in the remote, the tv paired with it and displayed a message. Here's how to hide the pointer for the LG magic Remote and bring it back when needed. It has its uses at times so to be able to turn it off and on is a benef. If you have an LG TV with the 'Magic Remote,' the easiest way is to activate the pointer and click the top of the screen. This will display either the input the TV is set to, or the channel it's tuned to. Click on that display and you will then see the time. Download this app from Microsoft Store for Windows 10 Mobile, Windows Phone 8.1, Windows Phone 8. See screenshots, read the latest customer reviews, and compare ratings for LG webOS TV Remote. First, press the ‘home’ button on the remote, then click ‘device connector’, then select the type of device you would like to synchronise with on your LG smart TV screen. Choose the input port that the device is connected to on your TV, confirm other required information, then click the ‘next’ button.

Lg Tv Mouse Remote Control
- @LG_JD, Wanted to check everything was working correctly?
- Contrary to what the LG chat agents will tell you it works for me but you may need to sideload an app called Mouse Toggle on your Fire TV stick. If it stops working reboot your FireTV but otherwise it works just like an Amazon remote except for the home button and the one with the horizontal bars to the right of it. Also you may need to hit the back button when you first switch to that input if the remote tries to control the TV instead.
- I used the method suggested by this fellow on YouTube. He's obviously doing it on an Android tv. But I am able to use the technique for lg webOS 3.0 and magic remote.
I did the firetv stick setup as shown in the video. When doing the magic remote setup, I followed the steps as listed below.
. Press the STB menu button on the magic remote. This will ask for you to setup the universal remote, select the Yes option.
. The next page will be the Device Connector menu. Here click on 'show all devices'.
Now I saw 10 options, instead of the previous 4. I selected the last option here - 'Other Box'.
Now you'd be asked to make the selection of the TV port your device is connected to. Mine is on HDMI 3. I simply selected the 'Done' button after that and I am now able to use the magic remote to control my fireTV dongle. - My lg tv remote lost and my button is broken home can I connect
- November 24, 2019, 7:29 amedited November 2019i have tried to get this to work (LG C9 and my Fire TV Stick 4K) and have not been able to. Everything else works with the LG Magic remote (Apple TV, Oppo Blu Ray player and even my Sony Soundbar. Anyone else get the Fire TV Stick 4K to work with their LG remote?
- I just picked up a lg sm8600 49' and can't get magic remote to work with fire tv box 1rst edition please help amazon or fire tv is not listed in set-top box select.
- i was able to get it to work for a few minutes and then it just stopped working for no apparent reason.
- Zdenek: My experience in using the Magic Remote with my Fire Stick 4k is exactly as you describe:
- Sometimes I have to hit the back button to witch to controlling the Firestick instead of the TV
- Sometimes that doesn't work and I have to reboot the Firestick.
It's nice that the remote works at all, but annoying that it's not reliable and frustrating that LG doesn't seem to fix issues like this.
I haven't installed Mouse Toggle. - I used the following link and did the instructions from MC44: https://www.amazonforum.com/s/question/0D54P00006zT0I7SAK/pair-lg-oled-tv-remote-with-fire-tv. Now works.
- SS2020: Please post back if this works consistently for you over a week or so. I still haven't been able to figure out why mine requires a reboot of the FireTV Stick 4k from time to time, but it happens enough that it's not acceptable.
Rather than have my family go through the hassle of forcing the Fire TV Stick to power cycle when it stops working, I now just have it get power from one of the TV's USB ports and, as a result, it power cycles every time the TV is turned on. That adds a small start-up delay, but we find that to be better than the erratic disfunction that we were experiencing otherwise.
Notably, we don't have this frustration with any other devices that we control via the Magic Remote and CEC. (Our first-generation Chromecast, for example, always seems to work with no need to power cycle it.) @SS2020 which magic remote do you have? I have the AN-MR19BA and it's not working. I set the device connector up as 'game console' and 'other box' and it doesn't work. Is yours still working?
